Africa Inland Church Tanzania, was born at Nassa village, Mwanza in 1909. Earlier in 1887 missionaries from Church Missionary Society(CMS) had arrived at Nassa Village to open a church. For more than twenty years CMA missionaries had served in the Lake zone of Tanzania (than Tanganyika) opening churches.

For some reasons they decided to move to Uganda but they did not want to desert the young congregation. They looked for someone to carry on the work from where they had reached.

Biography

Teacher at Majahida Bible school, student pastor with Christian students (UKWATA) overseeing 22 institutions in Mwanza region. Pastor of AICT Chang'ombe, Dar es salaam, Lecturer at Nassa Theological College, Bishop of Mara and Ukerewe.

From 2006/2009 was vice chairman of the Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT). In July of 2009, I was voted as chairman until 2013. I have also served as President of the Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) which is owned by both CCT and Catholic Bishops.
